Thought Number 1: As I get older, my opinions and actions mean more to society.
This feeling has come about in my search for higher education (aka college). As the the process has been moving along, I realize that I am soon going to be thrown into the real world where I can make a difference in the world. This also goes along with questioning adults that I once looked up to. A teacher brought up a very good point today as he said "when you were younger, you (kids) always listened to what your parents said and what other adults told you." I totally agree with this because I always listened to my parents and teachers without any question. Now, I look at adults (mostly teachers) and wonder/question why they think the way they do. Not in a bad way, but in order to see if the information they give me is true. Anyways, I will get off this tangent and get back to my original thought. Now-a-days when I say something, I feel like I can put it into action and what I say will matter. Whether it be giving an opinion in class, talking with an adult, or doing service throughout the community, I feel I can make an impact on our society. I have had great inspiration and I would HIGHLY recommend checking out my role model's blog @ modesty.blogspot.com. Stephan Christian has given me motivation to change my life and make me feel as though there really are good people in the this society. This is all I have for now and hopefully the blog won't suck so much next time.
